I was born in Iceland, a magical island in the North Atlantic Ocean. My home is Denmark. I'm a mother, a wife and the creator and founder of Yoga4Courage and owner of YogaPlace - the studio in Brønshøj.
I am a sincere student and deep practitioner of yoga and I have studied extensively with Sianna Sherman, the founder and creator of Rasa yoga. She continues to be one of my greatest inspirational teachers and human beings. Since I started teaching in 2011, I have received certifications in both Anusara and Rasa yoga.
For many years I taught yoga extensively in several different yoga studios in Copenhagen including Hamsa Yoga Studio, The Yoga Flat and NOR until March 2020, where I shifted my teaching to be dedicated primarily to my own studio.
I facilitate Rasa Yoga Teacher Trainings with my soul Rasa sister, Jacqueline Albers Thomasen and I offer retreats, in-depth courses, group classes, private classes and online yoga through YogaStream and my own video library.
Combining my nursing knowledge, studies of functional anatomy, personal experience of debilitating low back problems and never ending curiosity for the human body I offer private sessions for the therapeutic application of yoga.
My teaching is a heart centered, empowering fusion of form and flow and I am ferociously devoted to help students grow, reclaim their connection with Self, awaken deep purpose, and cultivate vibrant health through yoga and meditation.
My classes move you through a creative, biomechanically savvy and juicy sequences sprinkled with transformational themes that offer new insights and perspectives on and off the mat.
I am dedicated to anti-racism work and to unpack my own white privilege. My current mentors in this important and challenging work include Kallie Schut and Michelle Cassandra Johnson.
My name Hrönn means "wave" and like the land from which I was born, I'm mysterious and nurturing like the resting volcanoes, strong and enchanting like the waves that embrace the black sandy beaches and a light worker of both fire and ice.
